Dairy Free Peach Turmeric Smoothie Bowl {Paleo, Vegan}

Enjoy fresh summer fruit with this dairy free peach turmeric smoothie bowl. This recipe is paleo and Whole30 friendly, as well as gluten free and vegan.

I went into Whole Foods this week with a very short, pre-determined list of ingredients to buy. There was no fruit on my list. Then I saw, or rather smelled, the fresh peaches. Now you're getting a recipe for a vegan peach turmeric smoothie bowl.

Does fruit over call to you? Ok, maybe I'm the only one who has conversations with food, but come on, the summer fruit is irresistible right now. It's talking.

I smelled the peaches and thought, I just want to make something light and creamy with them. I already did a peach soup.

I really watch my sugar intake, even if it's the good stuff from nature, so when I have a little, I can really taste it. That's why I decided to add a little heat with the turmeric.

And you probably know that I also love turmeric. Not only is it a super duper anti-inflammatory, it also has a fun, earthy taste. You can hear me gush more about turmeric here and also get a refreshing drink recipe.

I used some coconut yogurt to keep it creamy and dairy free, but substitute whatever you like best.

Peaches other best friends are vanilla and cinnamon so I had to add them to the party. A splash of lime pulls in a little tart citrus flavor.

In case you're wondering why I added a little pepper, that's really just to make sure you reap the many benefits of turmeric. Fat and pepper increase the bioavailability of turmeric so always good to include those when using turmeric.

Feel free to mix and match whatever toppings you like with this dairy free peach turmeric smoothie bowl or eat it straight up.
