Grain Free Apple Pear Crumble {Paleo, Vegan, Sugar Free}

Enjoy a healthy fall or Thanksgiving dessert with this grain free apple pear crumble. This naturally sweetened apple pear crumble is grain free, gluten free, paleo, vegan, and refined sugar free.

Thanksgiving and the holidays can be a particularly difficult times to eat healthy. Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you to just eat a salad at the Thanksgiving table. I’ve already given you plenty of healthy Thanksgiving sides, but now it’s time for dessert and a grain free apple pear crumble.

When it comes to classic Thanksgiving desserts, I definitely have my favorite. I’ve never been crazy about the texture of pumpkin pie. It’s too mushy for me. I like some crunch.

Apple pie has always been where it’s at for me. Apples have a nice bite to them, even when cooked. The pie has a good crust to dig into, but of course I needed to make a version that was all healthy and grain free.

It’s actually easier than you might think to make this grain free apple pear crumble.

First, I decided to combine apples and pears because they’re both great fall fruits with natural sweetness. I knew from the beginning that I wouldn’t be adding sugar, so these fruits are able to carry some lightness. If pears aren’t your thing, feel free to omit them and go straight up apple crumble.

Then there’s all tasty apple pie seasonings like cinnamon and nutmeg to throw in the mix.

Since you know I need some texture, I added a crunchy nut topping. I combined pecans, walnuts and coconut but feel free to swap in or out your favorite nuts.

This apple pear crumble, or crisp, or cobbler, really does come together quickly and easily. It’s also highly adaptable to fit your own taste.

If your sweet tooth needs just a touch more, you could throw some coconut sugar or Xylitol on top of the crumble before it cooks.

Feel free to drop a dollop of dairy free ice cream on top for the full Thanksgiving dessert.

This grain free apple pear crumble is also ready to go as is.

Hope you have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
