Sugar Free Pear Compote {Paleo, Vegan}

When you want a healthy sweet with natural ingredients, try this sugar free pear compote. It’s great on yogurt or simply served warm with a spoon!

While I’ve been sugar free for many years now, I still crave sweets sometimes.

This sugar free pear compote ticks the boxes for me while also keeping me healthy and my blood sugar stable.

I haven’t had refined sugar in my house for quite a while, but I will admit to having a few forks full of dessert when I go out.

The thing is, when you remove refined sugar from your diet, your palate resets. A little bit of sweet goes a long way now.

So fresh fruit is a great sweet quencher. If you say, no seriously, I just went from chocolate cake to an apple, it’s not the same, I get it.

This sugar free pear compote takes the healthy dessert thing to the next level. When the pears are warm, they begin to break down and caramelize, creating a naturally sweet taste.

I do eat this fruit compote for breakfast.

I put it over thick coconut yogurt and swirl it around. It’s almost like an ice cream sundae. Almost.

You can top it with nuts, seeds, or granola for a crunchy bite.

You could even put it on your favorite protein for a more savory approach.

Feel free to swap out fruit or include apples in the mix. The recipe will work just as well.

So enjoy this sugar free pear compote for breakfast or dessert!
