I try my best to eat just fresh food that is grown from the ground, and not from a factory made box or metal can. When it comes to specialty cocktails, I have a tougher time just drinking natural ingredients. So many drinks use simple syrup, and lots of it, which means lots of refined sugar. One of my goals with making a lychee martini was to use all natural products and nothing from a can. Luckily with freshly ripe lychees, it's attainable.
